About the event
The Creative Campus welcomes back fine art printmaker from Taupō, Sally-Ann Davies. This time, with her Reduction Linocut Printing Workshop.
Come along and dive into the fabulous world of PRINTMAKING !
Linocut printmaking is a great place to start if you haven’t done printmaking before. A single lino block transforms into a multi-coloured, multi-layered prints. Unfold your artwork's depth through planned cuts and ink applications. Students with prior experience are also welcome to further their skills.
Participants will receive the step-by-step guidance from Sally-Ann. She'll also personally guide you through design selection, block carving, and layering colours, offering personalised attention and expert tips. Quality Materials are provided, including lino blocks, carving tools, and vibrant, professional-grade inks to ensure lasting artworks.
Come along and immerse yourself in a creative and supportive atmosphere and be inspired by like-minded artists.

All materials are supplied. But, participants who have their own carving tools are encouraged to bring their own. BYO lunch and snacks. Tea, coffee and milk will be provided - bring your own mug.
Sally-Ann Davies is a UK-born Fine Art Printmaker specializing in woodblock printing, incorporating diverse techniques like monoprinting, drypoint, and collagraphs. With a B.A. (Hons) in Fine Art from Liverpool John Moores’ University, she found her calling during an Artist in Residence program at an inner-city high school, inspiring her to pursue a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. After two decades of teaching, Sally-Ann now resides on Lake Taupo's scenic shores, devoting herself full-time to her art. She exhibits both in New Zealand and abroad while sharing her passion for printmaking through her workshops.
